Parking can be a major inconvenience, particularly for the people living in cities or other congested areas during rush hours, lunch breaks, workdays, weekends, holidays, and at high traffic locations such as beaches, sporting venues, airports, and malls. Drivers can waste a huge amount of time and fuel while searching for parking.

Better management of parking locations enables cities, towns, and communities to better control traffic flow while saving drivers time, fuel and money.

Smartphone applications may play an important role in finding and/or reserving a parking spot in such facilities, providing a payment method for paid parking facilities, etc.

While the smartphone applications seem like a solution for parking management, this will not be sufficient in the short term due to the increasing city population doing the vehicles.

As a result, of the insufficiency of the current solutions regarding the subject matter in the long term, a complete digital intelligence-supported end-to-end system will be required to de developed in the relevant technical field.

ON-STREET PARKING FACILITY MANAGEMENT

Entry/exit processes in on-stree parking areas are carried out via an application and/or SMS provided to vehicle users.

In this way, input and output records are transferred to digital media.

Fees are also collected in the digital environment, thus this eliminates human interaction.

Payments are made in digital environment via credit account or SMS charging so as to prevent possible illegal transactions or timeouts in fee collections.

Instant tracking is performed with the sensor data in the parking areas and measures are taken regarding illegal vehicle exits.

CHECK IN/CHECKOUT

Drivers can perform check-in and check-out operations by scanning the QR code located next to the parking space via the mobile application.
These operations are verified using camera systems and license plate recognition technology.

This approach enables a fast, secure, and contactless entry and exit process without the need for personnel involvement.

VECHICLE VIOLATION ENFORCEMENT SYSTEM

Control and management are carried out centrally and sensor data can be monitored because all car parking areas are connected to the central system within the system. Illegal movements that may occur in the parking area can be reported with the alarm and relevant actions can be taken. Personnel actions are monitored and performance evaluations are made.

NAVIGATION TO AVAILABLE PARKING FACILITY

The five parking facilities with available lots close to the driver’s location are listed from near to far. Navigation to the parking facility selected by the driver is started. If no available lot is left before arrival, other options will be displayed to the driver. Navigation is restarted based on a new selection by the driver.

PARKING LOT RESERVATION SYSTEM

A driver can make a reservation by specifying the time interval for any parking facility driver chooses to go to or for any of the parking facilities close to the area driver wants to go. A slot is reserved in the parking area 15 minutes before and 15 minutes after the relevant time interval. The fee for entering this area is deducted online. Parking lot pricing strategies vary according to the parking facility owners, and the applicable provision is made on the system.
